Julie Jetzer, LMBT

Julie Jetzer is the Founder of Corrective Core & Musculoskeletal Health, LLC started in 2014, a Bodywork Therapist LMBT #17706, Certified Personal Trainer, and Certified Health Coach to help her clients with chronic pain due to neuromuscular miscommunications of the body. Her main focuses are relieving tension and restoring connective tissue inside the gap of a Diastasis Recti, rebuild strength in the pelvic floor and teaching client better movements to eliminate intra-abdominal forces, and advanced connective tissue therapies as a Bodywork Therapist, LMBT. Julie graduated from NC School of Advanced Bodywork, received her LMBT License. During her studies at the NC School of Advanced Bodywork she attended and became certified in several advanced modalities.

Amanda Howell, IBCLC

Amanda Howell is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with seventeen years of experience helping women through individualized and compassionate care. She has worked with families in a range of settings from hospitals to homes, both in the United States and abroad; she is thrilled to join the team at the NC Tongue and Lip Tie Clinic.

With six years of experience in tongue tie and oral dysfunction, Amanda knows that no two cases are the same. Her goal is to work with each family through a holistic approach that starts with education, grows through partnership and gives families the confidence and continued support to practice integrative strategies for breastfeeding in the home.

Through a calming therapeutic presence, Amanda creates a space where mothers and babies can feel safe and supported. Helping families gives her joy and fills her soul. Amanda resides in Concord, North Carolina with her five children. Her favorite forms of self-care are getting a massage, practicing yoga, and spending time with dear friends.

Matthew Zimmer, DMD

Dr. Matthew Zimmer is a Pediatric Dentist who grew up on Long Island in Melville, New York. He attended the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine on academic scholarship where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree with honors. He finished his Pediatric Dentistry Residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in New York.

Dr. Zimmer believes it is very important for all children to have access to the quality dental care they need and enjoys sharing his knowledge with patients and parents alike. His main goal as a pediatric dentist is to have a shared vision with parent/guardian regarding treatment options for their child and also provide an experience and atmosphere that the child enjoys!

When not in the office, Dr. Zimmer enjoys spending time with his wife, Marisa and their little boy! He also loves outdoor hobbies such as tennis, biking, and playing with his Maltese Poodles!

Dr. Zimmer is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.

David Thome, DDS

A native of Colorado, Dr. Thome graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry in 2001. After seven years as a successful general dentist in Kansas City, MO, Dr. Thome decided to pursue his true passion for children’s dentistry. He completed his pediatric dental residency at Nova Southeastern University and treated many patients at the renowned Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Thome strives to make every child’s visit an enjoyable experience and to help them and their parents understand the essentials for building good dental health. He understands that a positive experience combines the very best care tailored to patients’ needs with a relationship built on trust and open communication. Dr. Thome believes the experience during a dental visit is just as important as the treatment. He encourages parents to be part of our team during the appointment.

When not helping his young patients build happy smiles, Dr. Thome enjoys the outdoors and especially spending time with his wife and two young children, Robert and Caroline.

Dr. Thome is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).
